What is the weather and atmosphere like in London in February?

My sister, my 15-year old son, and myself will be visiting London in February 2007. I know it will be cold, but what is the average temperature and weather like during that month. We live in Boston, Massachusetts, so cold weather is nothing new to us. Also, are most attractions, museums, sites, etc., open year round? Is there anything else we should know about visiting London in February? London is great actually and we loved it. Last time we were there in September, so I know the weather will be quite different. I was looking for average temps in farenheit if possible.

  1. Londons atmosphere is terrible mate the most unfriendly people i have ever met
  2. everything will be open, it will be cold and raining probably with nights drawing in quickly. enjoy x
  3. does not go below 0 degrees celcius . the days are shorter of course since it is winter
  4. See my answer to this question as it deals with London in winter generally. http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtYJu9vh8_hxq8g16s5zojpK5wt.?qid=20060926163707AAzLhLD As I mention in that response, most places in central London will be open in winter (especially since by Feb you will be past the Christmas/New Year shut down) but you will experience more problems if you want to venture further out (eg if you want to do a day trip to somewhere like Bath or Brighton). Here is a website which gives you average temperatures for London in Feb. http://uk.weather.com/weather/climatology/UKXX0085?dayofyear=32
